French Fruit Spreads

I love fruit spreads. Strawberry, blueberry, apricot, orange marmalade, you name it. While homemade fruit spreads made with fresh seasonal fruit are always my favorite, when I don’t have any on hand, St. Dalfour fruit spreads are my go-to.

Unlike many fruit spreads that rely on refined sugar or corn syrup, St. Dalfour fruit spreads are sweetened with fruit juice concentrates, giving them a flavor that’s closer to homemade. Their strawberry fruit spread, for example, has a more natural color and isn’t overly sweet.

Another thing I love is that each jar is filled with real pieces of fruit. The Wild Blueberry Fruit Spread is one of my favorites because it still contains tiny whole blueberries.

I usually keep Strawberry, Wild Blueberry, Apricot, and Orange Marmalade in my pantry, but they also make Raspberry, Four Fruits, Black Cherry, Plum, and several other flavors. They aren’t available in every grocery store, so I usually buy mine at Mother’s Market here in Southern California, although I’ve noticed that my local Whole Foods carries them as well.

These fruit spreads are delicious on toast, English muffins, and scones, but they’re just as good paired with cheese or spooned over plain Greek yogurt. If you’re looking for a fruit spread with a more natural taste, St. Dalfour is definitely worth trying.
